Why I decided to write a book four years ago

—and why I named it Doubtless Confidence. 😁

When I was twelve, I was whining to my wheelchair-bound grandma about my problems. She listened intently, then said, “You’re so smart, you’ll figure it out.” I didn’t believe her, but those words stuck.

Most people don’t know I survived four years of captivity as a young adult. That experience shaped the determined, persistent little 💩 I’m proud to be today.

It took a lot of effort, and I spent decades studying psychology, self-help, spirituality, and physics, determined to gather as much information as possible about the nature of reality and how to navigate its challenges.

It was a long and winding road—single mom, money stress, health issues, relationship challenges—but at 63, I realized I did figure it out. Grandma’s prediction had come true, mostly. 😜

So I wanted to write a book to share what I had learned to hopefully make the journey less difficult for others. 😃 The only catch was that I had to learn how to write. As is my nature, I was disciplined and determined. I did two rewrites and thought I was close, so I hired an editor.

She basically said it sucked. ☹️ But her tough feedback gave me the direction I needed.

So, I did two more rewrites and pulled in friends and family to be beta readers. 😃 Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏❤️

I received some great feedback—mostly positive 🤔 and their constructive feedback pushed me further. Naturally, I did another rewrite. 🤣

I uploaded the book to Amazon Kindle for pre-orders, built a website, and made videos—I was ready to launch. But then something else happened.

As an information junkie, I’ve followed physics theories for decades. I’m a systems thinker, and everything is a system. The more I understand how systems work, the better I can work within them. One day, while listening to a new theory on black holes, I felt confirmation of the theory I’d been developing. I was obsessed—no surprise there. 😳

I immediately saw the implications and how impactful they could be. Even more importantly, I understood the role of stress and how it connects directly to every aspect of our lives.

So now I have developed a unified theory—All Systems TOE (physics-speak for “theory of everything”). You can find the outline on my website, TammyAllen.com.

Now I’m doing my final—no, really, my final—rewrite, with a hard stop release date of November 1, 2025.

And that’s why this book has been four years in the making. I named it Doubtless Confidence because, even at 67, I feel like I’m just getting started. While none of us can avoid doubt completely, persistence builds the confidence that we can figure it out as we go.
